Pumpkin Facial – Bogmas Day 9

Hello, my name is Shannon and I am an addict. A pumpkin addict that is.

I love the rich color, the luscious flavor and when combined with a certain mixture of spices, that smell… oh that smell is just about perfect. Do you share my passion?

I love it so much so that, after reading this AcneFoundation.org piece I did get a Microdermabrasion, but never stopped using papaya on my skin later.

There’s no reason to feel ashamed! Did you know that pumpkin is bursting with health bennies? And I even recently discovered on www.Neuropathycure.org that turmerics has a ton of advantages when it comes to relieving nerve pain.

That rich color means pumpkin is packed with eye health plumping carotenoids, which include beta-carotene, thought to help prevent some cancers, however that does not mean it is the treatment for skin cancer. They’re also a great source of fiber, and a fiber-rich diet can help shed extra poundage. It’s also rich in Vitamin C and potassium to help fortify your immune system and replenish electrolytes. We should all be proud to yearn for this amazing squash.

Now, you’ve no doubt enjoyed your fair share of edible pumpkin recipes thus far this holiday season, so I’m bringing you a recipe to nourish your skin, as the nasty winter weather has already started to lash out at us.IngredientsThis face mask combines the vitamin and antioxidant power of pumpkin with the clearing and hydrating power of the egg and honey.

It’s particularly wonderful to do a quiet Saturday morning, which I opted for.

I used a brush to apply since it’s a relatively thing mixture, but beware! You are better off putting it on over a sink since you will undoubtedly have some drippage. (The dog ended up getting a bit of a snack cleaning up the mess I made!)

Feel free to light your favorite candle though to amp up your pumpkin experience and really get tucked in with a snugly blanket and perhaps watch a holiday movie while you wait. PumpkinFace

Why not?

Then, simply rinse (though you may be tempted to lick it off, so try to restrain yourself) with water and a wet face cloth.

Moisturize as usual and give your skin some time to breathe before putting on your makeup. If you can, just luxuriate in naked face-ness the whole rest of the day! Face in the buff!

  1. OMGoodness. I never knew pumpkin had so many health benefits. If only it could take away my dark under eye circles.

    1. If it could take away calories too that would be awesome. 😉
