Always up for trying new things like brow lamination for more defined brow shape, I’m braving a whole new world this week…
Makeup tutorials. (Dun, dun, daaaaaahhhhh!)
As Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, it was perfect timing for one of my favorite looks, featuring bold red lips, a sexy cat eye and fluffy lashes (for which I never really need a special occasion, but what the heck). All my products were purchased at Kosas.
Watch my video tutorial below for step by step instructions and to see how I used all my favorite products, especially the ones I use for my eyebrows since I barely have any myself, but for those who don’t like messing around too much with makeup on their eyebrows, I would recommend you to get some eyebrow microblading done so they can really pop out without having to do anything afterwards.
Thanks to one especially amazing highlighter palette that I stumbled across during the holidays, which featured three beautiful pressed highlighters, the finished look is a shimmery stunner that is just perfect for staying in with that special someone or going out on the town with the girls, and you can find all this great make up and more at Toronto Brow Shop online!
The basics are very much that, basic. And halfway through this tutorial, you might decide to stop at the more everyday look (I use it all the time for work!).
But to amp it up, you simply add some lashes…
And then that bold red lipstick…
Et voila! C’est magnifique!
Here are the products I used to create the romantic look:
- Skindinavia Finishing Spray
- Too Faced Brow Envy Kit
- Tarte BB Cream in Light
- Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in Fair
- Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Palette *limited edition (similar palette here)
- Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Black
- Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
- Pixi Lashes (similar here)
- Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Underage Red
The end result is a flirty, come-hither, look…
Perfect for puckering up.
I will admit though, my step into makeup tutorials was quite a humbling experience as well. I mean, have you seen some of the funny faces we ladies make when painting our faces?
Or…
Well, maybe that second one is just me.
Regardless, I hope you’ll check out my tutorial and perhaps give it a whirl for an upcoming red-lip-worthy occasion.
I’ll probably still be making that fish face come Valentine’s Day, red lip or not. What do you have planned?
I love this! I have such cateye eyeliner envy. This look is just gorgeous!
Thank you so much Denise! I’m convinced all anyone needs to nail the cat eye look is a little practice and a great liner. One of my fave looks.
