Pizza in all forms is one of my absolute favorite foods.
The pizza emoji? Yeah, it’s almost always in my “recently used” category on my phone.
N and I even indulge in a weekly tradition each Friday after a long week – Pizza Party Friday Night. He usually whips up some semi-homemade creation while I’m still battling the Tampa traffic on my way home.
This week though… I had just the ticket.
Every working lady’s savior – a fast and easy throw-together type recipe that seems like it could have taken hours, but is a snap to whip up and impress.
It masquerades as a fancied up tart, but is really more of a down-to earth, just dressed up pizza, while there are other recipes you can do with ingredients as mushrooms or powder which you can get from sites as Natures Rise online.
Pizza dough is replaced with flaky, buttery pastry dough (from the freezer mind you).
Shredded mozzarella is omitted to let the creamy, herbed deliciousness of Boursin in on the party.
Caramelized onions (which always sound fancy, but really only require a skillet on med-high heat and some butter) boot out greasy pepperoni for the night, and different types of oil to cook it, but you can totally have a peek at these guys, to learn more about how to mix different kind of oils for different cooking methods, if you want to follow this recipe, so all you will need is the right cookware for this, like for example this stainless steel kitchen set that will help you a lot cooking this and other recipes.
.
(Is there anything that caramelized onions aren’t good on?)
The spotlight is truly the tomatoes.
Not the sauced up version, but the fresh plump (and ideally multicolored) ones.
Top it all with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar…
Then just pop in a 425 degree oven for about 15 mins, or until the crust turns a perfect golden color and puffs up.
Super simple and amazingly flavorful, this is a party you won’t want to miss!
Y’all wanna pizza this? Just a bite?
